Ryan's Pub Reviews - Broadfields Bar

BROADFIELDS BAR, NORTHFIELD BROADWAY
Pint of Lager - £3.20
With this situated literally next door to the Scottie, it made sense to pay a visit, despite the slightly intimidating look. It wasn't a particularly good start, an elderly gentleman smoking outside just gave me a gormless look as we entered, despite my friendly smile and "Alright mate?" quote.

It wasn't too much better inside either. The small interior was scattered with very drunk punters, none of whom seemed in the least bit welcoming and whose vocabulary didn't expect much beyond "fucking this and fucking that". The young barman almost seemed to hesitate as I ordered my pint, however he did serve up a rather good one.

Don't want to kick this place too much as it was fairly well furnished and the usual jukebox and TV screens were prominent. The back wall was well decorated with horse racing portraits from time gone by and the seating areas were comfortable. However, it seems people from Piershill generally don't take too well to outsiders and for that reason I'm pretty glad I won't be needing to go back.

4/10
