Dersim Kebab and Pizza House 
Again not strictly a fish and chip shop but it is the best that Dalry has to offer. The staff were quite friendly and before I ordered they told me that it was a frozen fish. If you want fresh then this is not the place for you.
The fish was well cooked despite being frozen. The chips were excellent and a little crispy.
At £4 the meal was the same price as Derya Kebab but the meal, staff and cleanliness of the place offered much better value for money. It was not quite as good as The Station so if you are heading to town anyway or don't mind the extra walk go to The Station.

The Station - Haymarket
Across the road from the newly refurbished Haymarket, I sampled a fine fish and chip supper on a banter filled trip for dinner. The staff were good fun and offered to keep my food warm while my friends meals were being prepared.
The chips were quite crisp which I liked as was the fish. Not as flavoursome as you would get on the coast, however this is the centre of Edinburgh.
For £6, it was not as cheap as last weeks disaster but on average the food was better quality and the banter at The Station more than made up for the extra cost.

Derya Kebab - Dalry
Although not strictly a traditional fish and chips venue, I decided to sample the offerings in Dalry.
The staff did not seem that friendly while preparing my food and even tried to charge me twice for the poor offering.

The chips were a soggy and flimsy affair that were quite tasteless. I could have bought a similar quality fish out of Farmfoods and made it taste better! It was a breaded fish similar to one bought out of a supermarket that they made the bizarre decision to throw in a deep fat fryer.
At £4.50 I really should have asked my money back, but decided to sample the goods for the purposes of this review
