A quest to find the perfect Fish and Chips - Gorgie Fish Bar

Our next target was rated 4.7 on Google so we were expecting big things.  The staff here were really rather busy and only talked to us when we went back to see if we could get any deep fried sweets.  Sadly they did not offer these as it would ruin the oil.  The staff seemed friendly but a little gruff.

The seating inside the otherwise well presented shop was one lonely looking metal deck chair which actually led to points being taken off for decoration.  They should just stick to having no seats or invest properly in seating.

My food was quickly served up in a polystyrene tray and we went across the road to the playpark to eat our meal where there was handily some picnic benches.  The fish was really quite excellent and I really enjoyed this part of the meal.  Unfortunately, the chips really let down the meal with some being quite tasteless and bland.  Others were quite chunky and tasted a bit undercooked.

I really wish the chips had been done in less of a hurry and they had decided a seating strategy as this really let the place down!
